In August 2011, Mr. Guy L. Shields joined Palladian Healthcare headquartered in West Seneca, New York as Senior Vice President, Business Development. Palladian is a provider of integrated Chiropractic/ Physical Therapy, Wellness and Coordinated Spine Care. Mr. Shields will report directly to Mr. Paul Candino, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, where he will be responsible for building the business development/sales function at Palladian on a nationwide basis.

Mr. Shields brings to Palladian more than twenty years of experience in sales leadership, planning, marketing and operations. He most recently was employed with Landmark Healthcare in Sacramento as Vice President, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer where he was responsible for providing the leadership in sales and marketing initiatives.

In 1997, Mr. Shields founded Advance Consulting & Technical Services, LLC which supplied sales management, financial analysis, marketing and other consulting services to leading managed care, PPO, Taft-Hartley, Internet and insurance organizations.

Prior, Mr. Shields was Vice President of Indemnity, Pharmacy and PPO Business Lines for CIGNA Healthcare in Hartford, Connecticut. He had P&L responsibility for this $2.4 billion division that included maintaining marketing, product development, pricing, provider relations, and network management/development. In 1992 he joined Maxicare Health Plans in Los Angeles as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and prior to this he held progressively responsible roles with UnitedHealthcare (Director, New Products; Director of Golden Healthcare; and Vice President of Key & National Accounts).Mr. Shields began his career at BlueCross & BlueShield Mutual of Ohio (the nation’s fifth largest BlueCross & BlueShield firm, now Medical Mutual of Ohio).Mr. Shields holds a Bachelors Degree from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.
